+Yet

I don’t like Phoenix.
I’m not a great designer.

These sentences change dramatically when you add the simple idea of ‘Yet’ to them. Yet is the idea of not being satisfied with the current circumstances around you. It allows for, or rather demands, the idea of moving forward and to not accept unhappiness.

I think it’s important to always phrase your goals/dissatisfaction towards this idea of temporary incompletion. It allows you to mentally structure yourself in a positive direction. Yet is different from hope because it comes with intention. Hope is passive, Yet is poised towards activity.

Arrange your thoughts towards things you can actually overcome and accomplish.

I don’t like Phoenix yet.
I’m not a great designer yet.
